General:

• No domain names provided; your URL (web address) will be http://www.villagefair.com/user (where “user” is your business name) if you house your site on Village Fair’s domain. Otherwise, websites will be provided on diskette.
• Maintenance, additional scanning, and graphics creation costs are in addition to all costs below.
• All websites designed by Village Fair include listing in at least three Internet search engines if housed with Village Fair.
• All templates include choice of background colors, text colors, and standard navigational graphics. Background images, font style changes, and special effects extra.
• Maintenance: $30/hour, min. 1/2 hour
• Scanning: $5/photo (diskette and .tif format provided on request) Items up to 8.5 by 14 inches can be scanned and reduced. If an image must be manipulated or refined, graphics per hour charges apply.
• Graphics: $50/hour, min. 1/2 hour
• HTML creation (over and above template costs): $40/hour, min. 1/2 hour
• Special items: CGI, forms, javascript, java, secure transaction handling: $50/hour, min. 1/2 hour
• POP3 email addresses with user@villagefair.com available at $20 setup and $4 per month. (Does not include FTP)

Hosting Services

You design your own site, and are responsible for updating/maintaining it. Setup charge for all webhosting: $50 one-time fee, which includes 1 FTP account setup for individual website maintenance. You must provide your own Internet access. Individual domain pricing not available at this time. FrontPage extensions for FrontPage '97 and '98 supported; please notify in advance if you plan to use these products.

Prices:

• FTP/POP3, $5 per month in addition to setup, regardless of hosting plan.
• 1 Mb, $10/per month, or $100 per year.
• 2 Mb, $18/per month, or $180 per year
• 5 Mb, $35/per month, or $350 per year
• 10 Mb, $60/per month, or $600 per year

Virtual Domain with Above Hosting Services:

• $60 one-time setup, not including charges by InterNIC (currently $70 for first two years, and $35 per year thereafter)

Domain & Web Design Hosting for Larger Business Sites
(custom sites)

General:

• Web Domain registration through Internic: $70 for first two years, $35 renewal per year thereafter (price decrease effective as of April 1, 1998)
• $70 per month for hosting; includes 300 Mb of server space, including SSL--note: no addition cost for secure server.
• $100 one-time setup charge
• $50/hour for graphics creation, scanning, and special HTML, including Secure transactions
• $40/hour HTML creation
• $30/hour maintanance (does not include addition of new graphics, etc.)
• Up to 4 POP3 email accounts provided; extra fee for additional accounts. Does not include internet access.

Payment Options

Village Fair reserves the right to refuse hosting or design services, or options for billing on credit.

All sites housed through Village Fair reside on Mediex Performance servers, using Unix web servers, or CI Host, using Unix web servers. Both hosts were chosen with an eye to performance; but cannot guarantee down times (such as server problems or high web traffic). Because server space is leased, there are no guarantees made for periods of down time. (Although, rest assured, if the server becomes unstable, other routes will be considered.) No refunds will be made for hosting services. All prices are subject to change.

Template Sites:

Customers choosing Template Sites are expected to submit a 50% non-refundable deposit toward design costs, with the balance due when the final design is approved. One approval allowed. Checks and money orders are accepted. Visa/MasterCard accepted for full payment in advance. Arkansas residents must pay state sales tax.

Customers must supply logos and photos at their own expense. Text copy and graphic items will be kept on file for six months from the time of creation.

Custom (Large Business) Sites:

Business customers requiring Custom Sites are expected to submit a $400 deposit toward design costs totalling less than $2000. When approved, the balance will be billed on the 1st of the month after approval, due by the 15th of the month in full. For sites with totals over $2000, payments will be split into three payments, with the first third as a deposit. Other arrangements may be made, depending on the business. Two approvals allowed. Checks and money orders are accepted. Arkansas residents must pay state sales tax, unless they are an exempted charity or organization.

Customers must supply graphic items (logos, photos) at their own expense. Text copy and graphic items will be kept on file for six months from the time of creation.

Maintenance and Special Needs:

Occasional maintenance arrangements will be billed at the rate of $30.00 per hour with 1/2 hour minimum, on the 1st of the month following the work, due by the 10th of the month. Sites requiring regular maintenance may discuss other options, such as retainers or contracts.

Special Needs, such as midi inclusion/creation, logo creation, graphics manipulation, digital camera imaging, javascript, java, CGI, forms, HTML coding over and above site design maintenance, multi-frame coding, and other items bear an additional expense. Quotes for work are available; 50% of quoted amount payable in advance, with remainder billed to existing customers on the 1st of the month, payable in full by the 15th of the month.

Hosting: All hosting fees and/or domain registration fees, without exception, are due in advance. No prorating. Reminder postcards will be mailed out on the 15th of the month; fees are due by the 1st of the month. Websites which have not been paid in advance are subject to suspension of service until payment has been made.

There will be a $20 service charge on all checks returned for insufficient funds or other reasons.

Because Village Fair leases its virtual domain space from hosts it cannot control, Village Fair will not be held liable for loss of income or damages because of server failure. Village Fair does choose server hosts with high performance in mind, and will make the best effort to find another server host to host websites if current hosts become unstable.

All websites created by Village Fair will contain a small logo or link to this site.

Village Fair does not guarantee that any business site will be successful on the web. This is, in essence, advertising.

Village Fair will not be held liable for copyright infractions in the case of clients who submit such items without the knowledge of Village Fair.

Village Fair cannot attest or be responsible to verify the authenticity and trustworthiness of sites either residing on Village Fair's domain or designed by Village Fair. Buyers beware, and enter into transactions with businesses represented here at your own risk.

If a website hosted on Village Fair is found to contain pornography, extreme vulgarity, illegal schemes, or harmful information; or if a hosted website or user knowingly mailbombs Internet users (spamming), the account will be immediately suspended, and hosting fees will be refunded by prorating.

Village Fair reserves the right to refuse design or hosting service or extensions of credit.
